Decrypting me

In 2013, I listened to my nerdy half, bid adieu to my family and friends in Bengaluru and headed to Pittsburgh to get my MBA. Little did I know that along with a degree, a terrific job offer and some wonderful friends, I would also leave Pittsburgh with PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder.

Moving to Chicago gave me a fresh start but it wasn’t long before depression reared its ugly head again. Juggling the demands of a management consulting career with therapy and antidepressants is challenging to say the least. It wasn’t long before anxiety decided to join the party

The experiences of the past three years have fundamentally changed me. As I navigate these uncharted territories and rediscover myself, I hope that penning down my thoughts (figuratively speaking of course) will help me sort through them. Furthermore, I hope that sharing my experiences will help others who are in a similar situation.
